During May 2010 Guam was facing a serious environmental situation when the Yigo coral pit caught fire.  This coral pit is rested right over the aquifer.  The aquifer is our island’s major source of drinking water and could have possibly become a major environmental issue for our island.  After a week of endless attempts to extinguishing the fire, Smithbridge Guam covered off the coral pit with our quarry silt material with the use of our equipment, as a donation to our local government officials.

The recent installation of a tire wash for our quarry hauls has alleviated the dust control around our neighbors to include watering down at our our main entrance off from Route 15 and our yard as needed.
